Denver Cycling!
Denver and cycling go together like Macaroni & Cheese! With our 300 days of sunshine, moderate weather and over 600 miles of paved paths, there are endless opportunities to stay on your bike in the metro area. Not to mention the approximatey 250 miles of single track trails that abound throughout the metro area, foothills, and mountains near by. When the high country and foothills get snowy and muddy, many Mountain Bikers ride the paved paths for exercise, conditioning and fun with their Roadie brethren! As our winters are generally mild (well most of the time!), I have ridden every month in the past 12 months, as do many Denverites.

I am a Mountain Biker and a Roadie and spend as much time as possible out on my bikes to enjoy this wonderful part of Colorado and the country when not working in real estate. There are many on road and off road events and rides like the Elephant Rock Ride (Castle Rock-Parker), The Greenwood Village Goose Chase (Greenwood Village-Englewood), Moonlight Classic in Denver, Ride The Rockies, and The Triple Bypass.

Denver has the Cherry Creek Path (Parker to Aurora to Denver) and the Platte River Path that runs the north – south length of metro Denver from Littleton through Englewood to North Denver that are well used by bikers, rollerbladers, and hikers. Many of the roads and paths go through of our popular home neighborhoods like Cherry Creek, Wash Park, and Bonnie Brae and Hilltop. We also ride through the hip areas of downtown Denver called LODO (Lower Downtown) with the many historic loft homes, as downtown riding is very popular because it is biker friendly and has loads of restaurants, bistros, and pubs.

Many people choose their homes to be in commuting distance by bike as there are so many trails in the neighborhoods here. Almost every area of Denver Metro is connected by paths and it is a requirement on all new subdivisions in the area. I have heard countless bikers over the years say that Denver Metro is the best area for a biker in the US!
